For some time, the world was going crazy for lightweight, portable gadgets. Now though, it seems it is ready to move on to the next major technological trend; the concept of the transparent gadget. No, we are not talking about partially but completely transparent gadgets that leave little to the imagination. Take a look for yourself.

What better way to flaunt how well you stock up your refrigerator than opting for a transparent one that shows everything inside out. Complete with a low waistline option to enable the storage of heavy items, this transparent refrigerator is definitely one of those cool concepts you need to look out for. Try not bumping into it by mistake though.

Transparent Xbox 360 Case

Got one of those huge Xbox 360 white cases lying around the house? Then trade them for this really cool Clear Ghost Case. Featuring a completely transparent case, the Xbox case is a one of a kind design that shows what happens inside the box when you play its games. You literally get to see the DVD game disc spinning in it while you play. Now wouldn’t that be one cool option?

Transparent Canoes

Now I have heard of glass bottom canoes, but this one takes the cake. It could be a delight for nature lovers. This transparent canoe is made of a hard shell that surprisingly weighs only 40 lbs and is way lighter than your standard wood and aluminum canoes. It offers 100% visibility as well. So, you don’t just get to see what is at the bottom. You get to see everything around you crystal clear.

Transparent Irons

How cool would it be to know how many creases more you have to iron out without guessing it and burning your shirt instead? The transparent B-IRON 725 would make this possible for you. The concept works on a network of electro –thermal wires that conduct heat and transfer it to a soleplate that is made of tempered glass. Quite an attractive and feasible design.

Transparent Apple iPad

The transparent Apple iPad concept owes its conception to Ricardo Afonso, and happens to be a sleeker version of its inspiration, the Apple iPad. While the camera remains at the top of the device, the speakers have been moved behind the power button. But know the best feature of all? Even though the Apple iPad would be completely transparent, it would not reveal what’s on your screen to others behind it. Now that’s what we call privacy and luxury beautifully blended together.

Transparent mobile – music jewelry

Transparent mobile – music jewelry

This transparent gadget owes its design to Mac Fuanmizu. It is a standard bracelet that doubles as a music player. The transparent player cum bracelet would look uber cool on your wrist and would let you listen to your favorite songs as you flaunt it with pride. You can also opt to color code it with your outfit via an adjustable multi-colored strand. A customizable wallpaper adds to its charm. Simply wear it or keep it inside a pocket/purse as you listen to melodious music discreetly.

Transparent mouse and keyboard

I would probably want one of these in the future. These cool looking keyboard and mouse are completely transparent. They come with a solid metal base fitted with a tempered glass on top. They are wireless, come with USB connectivity, and can be easily recharged. The touch screen option is facilitated by a technology called Frustrated Total Internal Reflection (FTIR) while a sensitive IR camera converts the touch to clicks.

Windows Phone

It would be a fully to imagine that the Windows Phone is devoid of any fans. And these fans, or designers inspired by the phone do sometimes create ideas and concepts that make the phone look all the more better. The most recent concept doing the rounds features a completely transparent handset that comes with a screen capable of changing features based on the weather. For instance, the screen would remain bright and clear when sunny, foggy when cloudy, misty when rainy and even frozen with snowflakes when it is snowing outside.

Summary

Although most of these transparent gadgets are still in the design phase, the day when they become a reality is not far. That’s when we would probably start to see more transparent gadgets like cameras, clothes driers, iPods, USB sticks and even concrete slabs.
