Electric Vehicles (EV) are green cars, which avoid the use of fossil fuels and thus contribute to save our environment. Alternative propulsion technologies, which include the Nissan LEAF (Leading Environment-friendly Affordable Family car) and the Mitsubishi MiEV (Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle) , have reached the next level with the Porsche 356 Speedster going electric.

Euromasters Classic Cars, a California based company has now developed a EV version of the Porsche 356 Speedster. The company can build a replica of the Porsche provided you can cough up the needed USD 49,000. The cars have a 120-horsepower motor, which enables it to go from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 5.6 seconds. It boasts of a top-speed of 100 mph and a claimed range exceeding 320 Km. This one is perfect for some fast driving on the highway.

The company already offers an electric version of the Spyder 550 and they also have an electric Benz in the line too. And the price they ask for, when compared to the price of the original models, is quite a worthwhile one. For instance the Porsche 356 would cost around USD 100,000 but the replica costs much lesser, needless to say, it is quite a bargain on offer!
